Cooldowns (cont)

Sprint is a highly useful ability that increases your movement speed for a short time. Obvious uses will include: escaping danger, moving quickly from an add to a boss, or simply to cheat death on a wipe (it's not a big cooldown but anything is better than nothing.) Combat rogues can talent this for a shorter cooldown and to have it break rooting effects though it's not a priority in your talent tree. In comparison, sprint can be used both as an offensive and a defensive cooldown where evasion is purely a defensive. Evasion increases the rogues chance to dodge attacks by fifty percent for a short time. This cooldown can and should be used any time you find yourself on the sharp end of an opponents weapon. A quick trigger finger on your evasion cooldown can make the difference between life and death should a tank die for whatever reason. Certain raids I've attended in the past have even been cleared only because a rogue was able to "evasion" tank the boss long enough for a druid to revive and heal the tank.
